News & Announcements

As part of Divine Word University’s 30th Anniversary Festival of Legacy and Vision, the DWU Alumni Madang Chapter was honoured to be part of the Alumni Foundation Day celebrations, where a special Token of Appreciation was presented to the Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea, Hon. James Marape, and his wife, Mrs. Rachael Marape, a proud alumna of Divine Word University.

Representing the DWU Alumni Madang Chapter, Chapter President Mr. Rex Sos, together with a fellow Chapter member, had the privilege of presenting commemorative DWU shirts to the Prime Minister and Mrs. Marape.

The presentation recognised their valued support, leadership and contribution to the development of education and nation-building in Papua New Guinea. It also celebrated Mrs. Marape’s enduring connection with her alma mater and her continued role as an inspiration to students and fellow alumni.

For the DWU Alumni Madang Chapter, the occasion was a proud moment that reflected the strong bonds shared among DWU graduates and the University's wider alumni community.

As alumni continue to serve and contribute meaningfully to communities and the nation, the DWU Alumni Madang Chapter remains committed to upholding the University's vision, mission and values while strengthening the spirit of fellowship among graduates.

Congratulations to Divine Word University on 30 years of legacy, service and vision!
